Do-gooder. Professional. Friend.

This is Rotarian Kristina, owner of KC Design Studio in Boston.

Maybe like you she wanted to get connected locally. To give back to area charities, to volunteer, and to have fun after work building friendships with other great professionals.

At her first Rotary meeting she noticed that the average age was about 30. As many women as men.  She might have even met a potential client or two. This wasn’t her grandfather’s Rotary Club.

She’s been a member since 2009

Common Myths About Rotary

Men only?

Women have been members of Rotary International for over 30 years. Our membership is over 50% female. We believe that diversity of culture, experience, and background is essential to creating a dynamic and successful club.

Old Fashioned?

33 years old — that’s our current average member’s age. We’re only old fashioned in that we maintain the highest standards to qualify for membership.

Weekly Meetings?

Rotary clubs used to all require attendance at meetings each week. At our club, attend as few as 12 formal meetings a year or as many as 24, plus committee meetings and service activities. Our club is designed for today’s busy professionals with a spirit for service.
